DeJong's Dairy in Wildomar bills itself as the Inland Empire's friendliest dairy — a family-owned and operated farm famous for its chocolate milk. The on-site neighborhood market sells milk, local farm eggs, local honey, ice cream, and candy plus a full range of animal feed, pet food, hay, and straw, and the dairy books tours in the fall.

Our Tradition White Oak Pastures is Radically Traditional Farming. Every day, we butcher meat from animals raised in a regenerative manner using humane animal management practices. This is no easy task, but it is our passion. To operate our vertically integrated, zero-waste model, it takes 155+ caring people working together to accomplish a common goal: taking care of our land and our livestock.

Garden 31 is a San Diego County nonprofit that trains and mentors at-risk youth and adults — including formerly incarcerated and justice-impacted community members — in regenerative agriculture and life skills. The next generation of farmers grows organic produce for communities with limited access to healthy whole foods, alongside school gardens, rehabilitation, and food equity programs.

Sand n' Straw Community Farm is a family-owned regenerative farm on six acres in Vista, California, growing dozens of pesticide-free crops — from avocados, dragon fruit, and citrus to tomatoes, squash, and berries — using organic, permaculture, and soil-building practices. The farm stand opens Wednesday and Saturday with produce, small-batch jams, raw honey, sourdough, and teas, and a $35 weekly CSA farm box comes with recipes, quarterly farm tours, and member discounts.

Nopalito Farm & Hopyard is a regenerative farm on 15 acres of chaparral foothills in Valley Center, on historic land of the Luiseño Payómkawichum people, stewarded by the Brownwood family since 2015. The certified organic orchards, flower fields, and botanicals share the land with wildlife habitat and cabins bookable through Hipcamp for overnight farm stays.

Years before the Stehly Family began farming in Valley Center, the roots of Stehly Farms stretch back to the agriculture days of Orange County, CA. Nicholas J Stehly founded the original farm in the 1920′s, and was later acquired by Jerome Stehly Sr. where he continued farming. As the population in Orange County grew, farm land got thinner and the Stehly Family felt the pressure and knew it was time to get back to open land. Golden Door Country Store in San Marcos shares the harvest of Golden Door's bio-intensive kitchen garden and groves — seasonal organic produce from citrus and strawberries to heirloom tomatoes and greens, grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. The store, open Tuesday through Sunday, also carries preserves, marmalades, estate honey, olive oil, and a rotating schedule of freshly baked breads from local bakers.

Fairfield Farms, established in 2003 by Carol and Bill Steed, grows organic blueberries and avocados in Pauma Valley's one-of-a-kind microclimate north of San Diego. The family-run farm runs on-site solar power, its own reservoir, and on-site packing, with blueberries available April through June and avocados February through August in retail stores.

Escondido

J.R. Organics is a fourth-generation family farm in Escondido, certified organic since 1986 — four decades of growing some of San Diego County's freshest produce. The farm delivers weekly and bi-weekly certified organic CSA farm boxes across the county, sells at more than a dozen farmers markets from Carlsbad to Temecula, and offers online pre-orders, with farm tours by appointment.
