4. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (comments, reviews, farm listings, event details). By posting content, you grant U.S. Farm Trails a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and moderate that content on our platform.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
• Is defamatory, abusive, or harassing
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains spam, malware, or promotional links unrelated to farming
• Violates any applicable law

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

5. Farm Listings

Farm listings are submitted by users and approved by our team. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that listing information (hours, products, contact details) is current or complete. Always verify directly with the farm before visiting.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

We offer optional paid subscriptions (Supporter and Farmer Pro) through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to pay the listed fees. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact eatlocal@usfarmtrail.com for refund requests.

7. Farm Claiming

Farm owners can claim their listing with a Farmer Pro subscription to manage their page. By claiming a farm, you represent that you are the owner or an authorized representative of that business. False claims may result in account suspension.

8. Intellectual Property

The U.S. Farm Trails name, logo, site design, and original content are our property. The interactive maps use OpenStreetMap data under the Open Data Commons Open Database License.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that farm listings are accurate, that the site will be uninterrupted, or that it will be free of errors. Use the information at your own discretion.

10. Limitation of Liability

U.S. Farm Trails is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to experiences at farms listed in our directory, financial losses from subscriptions, or data loss.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
