Hours run daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during harvest, shorter in winter.

Montrose

Montrose Orchards runs a working cider mill and U-pick orchard about 20 miles northwest of Flint, now in its third generation of family ownership. Pick your own apples, pears, strawberries, cherries, blueberries, or pumpkins, then stop at the bakery for cider and donuts from Debbie's Kitchen. The farm store also stocks jams, honey, maple syrup, and cherry juice, plus hayrides and a fall pumpkin patch.

Argentine

Mueller's Orchard and Cider Mill has run continuously since the late 1880s, with the Mueller family at the helm since 1941 and now three generations deep on the highest point in Genesee County. The mill presses cider from hand-picked, in-season apples only — no drops — and bakes fresh donuts daily, including a seasonal pumpkin glaze in October. A remodeled barn adds ice cream and hot dogs, plus a corn maze and the Birchview Event Barn for private events.

Goodrich

Porter's Orchard has been in the same family since 1919, now run by a third generation on Hegel Road in Goodrich. The cider mill turns out fresh-pressed cider and cider donuts, the farm market sells raw honey harvested on site, and a corn maze, inflatable slide, and petting farm round out the fall visit. A pavilion is available to rent for events.

Holly

Diehl's Orchard & Cider Mill has run in Holly for 70 years, selling fresh-picked apples by the bag or in bulk starting mid-September alongside hot and cold cider and fresh donuts. There's no u-pick here, but the corn maze, hay maze, playground, and pond are free to visit, with hayrides at $3 and pony rides at $10. The mill runs daily through October, then weekends only into late November.

Ortonville

Ashton Orchards sold market apples, peaches, plums, pears, sweet corn and pumpkins on Seymour Lake Road outside Ortonville for 59 years, pressing its own cider and baking donuts, pies and caramel apples on-site. The family did not reopen for the 2025 season, citing the owners' age and health. Call ahead before visiting — the future of the operation isn't confirmed.
