Delicious Orchards has sold fruit along Highway 133 in Hotchkiss for decades, one of the anchor names in the North Fork Valley's orchard country. The business now operates under the Big B's Delicious Orchards banner, with the same high-altitude apples, peaches, and stone fruit going into the juices and ciders sold on-site. Longtime visitors may still know the fruit stand by its original name.

Beyond the u-pick rows, the property runs tree swings, swim and paddle ponds, and camping, with live music most Fridays and Saturdays through the season. Open April through November — café hours run daily 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

McClure Orchards grows organic, integrated-pest-management apples in Paonia's North Fork Valley, with u-pick apples, pumpkins, and a corn maze in season. The farm also sells Colorado Department of Agriculture-certified organic eggs and goat's milk, a rare combination for a fruit orchard.

Fritchman Orchards has run a fruit shed in Eckert since 1975, the fifth generation of the same family growing peaches, apples, pears, cherries, and plums on about 100 acres. The shed also carries honey, vegetables, and pumpkins from neighboring North Fork Valley farms, so a stop here covers more than just what's growing on Fritchman ground.
