Binghamton Urban Farm

About This Farm

The Binghamton Urban Farm grows about 7,000 pounds of food a year on 2.25 acres of former vacant lots in downtown Binghamton, land the city cleared for flood mitigation. Run by the nonprofit VINES, the farm supplies its Farm Share program, which reaches more than 250 households. Youth hired through the Grow Binghamton program plant, harvest, and distribute the produce; the program has employed over 130 teens since 2010.
