Crossroads Farmers Market has run every Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Anne Street and University Boulevard East since 2007 — one of the longest-running markets serving Takoma Park's Langley Park corridor, home to a large immigrant community. Every vendor grows or processes what they sell within 125 miles of Takoma Park. The nonprofit behind it, Crossroads Community Food Network, built the market around a choice-based model meant to make fresh food affordable for low-income shoppers.
