Food Finders has spent 37 years rescuing surplus food around Los Alamitos and routing it to food-insecure communities through 280 nonprofit partner agencies. Its Food 4 Kids program feeds children at 47 Long Beach-area schools, and its Backyard Harvest program gleans produce that would otherwise rot in yards and fields. In its most recent year, the group moved 15.6 million pounds of rescued food.
