The Southern Tier's Chemung Valley grows sweet corn, tomatoes, and other row crops on its river-bottom farmland. Vendors bring seasonal produce, baked goods, and homemade items. Horseheads took its unusual name from a Revolutionary War pack-horse camp, and the market draws from the surrounding Elmira-area farms.
