Old World Wisconsin is a large open-air living-history museum in Eagle, run by the Wisconsin Historical Society in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. Costumed interpreters work restored 19th-century immigrant farmsteads and a crossroads village, doing blacksmithing, cooking, and heritage-breed animal care as settlers once did. Visitors can join the chores and trades. It recently marked its 50th anniversary and opened a new welcome center.
