Port Sanilac's producer market sets up Friday afternoons, 1 to 5 p.m., from the week before Mother's Day through the end of October, at the Sanilac County Historical Museum & Village on Ridge Street. Every vendor has to grow or make what they sell within Sanilac, Huron, or Tuscola County — no resellers, no imported produce. A good share of the fruits and vegetables come in without chemical treatment, though the market doesn't market itself as certified organic.
