It started in 2017 as the Sugar Run Pumpkin Festival and by 2018 landed on a list of West Virginia's best pumpkin-picking spots. Weekends in late September and October bring pick-your-own pumpkins and photo areas, with $10 admission and cash or cards accepted. Tara Johnson runs it near the Virginia border, southeast of Union.
