The Straney family runs Thibodaux Bee Company out of Lafourche Parish, harvesting raw, unfiltered honey from their own hives. A share of every sale goes to local charities, and the family runs the business partly to teach local kids about agriculture and the science behind it. They also handle bee and wasp removal for homeowners around Houma and Terrebonne Parish, putting the same hive knowledge to practical use.
