Thimble Farm's 40 acres in Tisbury were a pick-your-own berry operation and hydroponic tomato greenhouse under the Moskow family starting in 1982. Island Grown Initiative now runs the property as a working farm and education center, growing strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries in the fields alongside year-round hydroponic tomatoes in the original greenhouses. The focus has shifted toward regenerative practices — building soil health and training new farmers — rather than pure retail sales.
