About This Farm

Thomas Orchards, also called Kimberly Orchards, is a pick-your-own fruit farm along the John Day River near Kimberly, in the dry canyon country of eastern Oregon. Irrigation from the river turns this stretch into a fruit oasis, with u-pick cherries, apricots, peaches, pears and apples through summer and early fall. It's a long drive from anywhere, on the Long Creek–Kimberly Highway, and pulls pickers from across the region.
