We bought our farm near Waterloo, Wisconsin in 1996. During our time here, we have made changes in order to raise our crops in a sustainable manner. Weber Pastures began when Bill Weber turned a Cottage Grove cornfield into ponds and pasture — then came home from a 2008 Thanksgiving auction with four cows and calves and never looked back. Modeled on Joel Salatin's Polyface Farm, the Madison-area operation now runs about 60 head of grass-fed beef, "way too many chickens to count," and pigs, on sun, grass, and water.
