Newton

Papa's Pumpkin Patch started when Bob Wachlin was still in high school, growing pumpkins to save up for his first truck. It's since grown into roughly 50 acres of pumpkins and squash, sold by the pound straight off the vine, plus a summer produce line called Patch to Plate. The 2026 season runs September 12 through October 25, noon to 7 p.m., $8 admission.

Andover

Marietta Farm runs its pumpkin patch in Andover from late September through Halloween, with a corn crib, a grass maze, pumpkin cannons, a petting zoo and train rides for kids. Late November brings a full turn: the same grounds become a Christmas tree lot selling premium cut and artificial trees. It's become a regular fall and holiday stop for Wichita-area families.

Augusta

Applejack Pumpkin Patch & Event Barn sits about six miles east of Wichita and three miles east of Andover, off Highway 54/Kellogg. Beyond the fall pumpkin patch and corn maze, it runs a Christmas tree farm, a spring Easter egg hunt, wine walks, live music, and a farmers market, and hosts weddings and graduation parties. Burns

Walters Pumpkin Patch has been pulling Kansans out to Burns for fall since 1988, growing 25 of its 70 acres in pumpkins, gourds, squash, and corn. Beyond U-pick pumpkins, there's a corn maze, zip line, jumping pillows, and a haunted cannery tour, plus a snack bar serving pumpkin ice cream and pumpkin chili. The season runs the third weekend of September through early November.
