About This Farm
Alvarez Organic Farms is best known for its enormous range of peppers, more than 200 varieties, grown on an 80-acre family farm in the Yakima River Valley near Mabton. Certified organic since 1992, the second-generation operation also raises 50-plus tomato varieties, eggplant, squash, melons, potatoes, peanuts, and garbanzos, watered by drip irrigation. The Alvarez family sells at farmers markets across Washington and supplies many restaurants. The farm sits at 300 Murray Road.
