Atchison Farmer's Market has run along Main Street in downtown Atchison, Kansas since 1998, making it one of the longest-standing markets in the state. The season opens the third Saturday in May and closes the last Saturday in October, with hours Wednesday 2:30-5:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.-noon. Vendors sell produce, meat, eggs, baked goods, and honey, and take cash, cards, Venmo, SNAP, and Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers. A winter market moves indoors to the United Methodist Church at 5th and Kansas Ave.
