Belle Valley Ancient Grains grows and mills heirloom wheat, including emmer, einkorn, spelt, Red Fife, and Sonora White, plus golden flax and chickpeas on 200 acres along the Belle Fourche River near Newell. Brian and Linda Stambaugh bought the land in 2002 and earned organic certification in 2018. They farm chemical-free, rotating to legumes for nitrogen rather than fertilizer. Whole grains and fresh-milled flour ship from the farm.
