This De Soto market — Fresh Promises Farmers' Market — sets up at 9200 Kill Creek Road on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., June through September. It's a smaller, community-run alternative to De Soto's bigger Friday night market downtown, built to keep locally grown food available through the season without the crowds or live music of the main event.
