The Freeman Farmers' Market runs Wednesday evenings 5 to 7 p.m., June through September, in this Hutchinson County town settled by German-Russian Mennonites. Vendors sell garden vegetables, baked goods, homemade ice cream, and crafts. The market has used the Pioneer Hall lot at Freeman Academy, and has also set up at the swimming pool park on the north end of town.
