Lone Mountain Cattle Company raises the largest fullblood Japanese Black Wagyu herd in the United States, based in Golden, New Mexico on the Turquoise Trail. Mary Lloyd and Bob Estrin converted the family cattle operation to Wagyu, finishing the transition in 2008. Every animal is DNA-verified fullblood and raised without added hormones. The ranch sells DNA-certified Wagyu beef direct under the Lone Mountain Wagyu label and ships nationwide.
