Sloanstead keeps beehives in Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood and sells honey drawn entirely from those local hives, plus a soap line made with the honey and beeswax through a partner maker. Two additional hives are hosted at Keeler Gardens nearby. Sales run through an online Square store with contactless pickup in Irving Park only — no shipping, and the honey regularly sells out before the season ends.
