About This Farm
Westmeadow milks 150 Jersey cows and keeps roughly 400 goats, turning the milk into Palatine cheddar, cheese curd, and artisanal goat cheese. Tom and Patricia Vaughan started the farm after their son's severe food allergies pushed them to question modern food. The herd lives at 113 Mapletown Road in Canajoharie; the creamery and retail store sit at 251 N Comrie Avenue in Johnstown, inside a former factory the family rebuilt. The store also carries other local goods.
