Spring brings hanging baskets and vegetable starts, summer brings sweet corn, and fall turns the property into a U-pick apple and pumpkin operation with a 10-acre corn maze, wagon rides, and cider doughnuts. Open seasonally — May, then mid-July through October 31.

Bronkberry Farms in Plainfield runs from Earth Day to Halloween, moving from spring greenhouse season — custom planters, annuals, perennials, and vegetable plants — into summer's vine-ripened watermelon, sweet corn, and tomatoes, then fall hayrides and the annual Fall Fest. The general store stocks homemade pies, local honey, and jams, with bees, goats, and chickens to visit; twice named Best Retail Business by local chambers of commerce.

Livestock rotate across fresh pastures with certified organic feed and hay; the farm store on IL Route 31 is open daily, with online ordering for pickup or UPS delivery across the Midwest.

Glasscock Farms sold sweet corn from its Laraway Road stand for nearly 90 years before the Glasscock family closed the business in 2015. The farm dated back to 1930 and was a fixture for Joliet-area sweet corn until Scott Glasscock, the last owner, shut down the roadside stands.

TOM's Farm Market has grown produce and bedding plants in Huntley since 1959, running 80,000 square feet of greenhouses. Look for asparagus, strawberries, GMO-free sweet corn, tomatoes, and peppers in season, plus a bakery, coffee bar, garden center, and fall corn maze. Open mid-March through December, Mon-Sat 8:30am-6pm, Sun 8:30am-5pm.

McCarthy Farmstands runs a seasonal rotation on 167th Street — summer produce, pumpkins each fall, and Christmas trees with decorated wreaths through the holidays. The stand is open Monday through Saturday 10 to 6 and Sunday 10 to 4. It's a straightforward farm stand geared toward stocking the fridge, not a destination attraction.
