Appleton Farms in Ipswich is one of the oldest continuously operating farms in America, cared for by The Trustees of Reservations. Its dairy and farm store sell Appleton Farms goods alongside merchandise supporting the Trustees' mission of protecting special places across Massachusetts.

Dracut

Shaw Farm is a fourth-generation family farm in Dracut, family-owned since 1908 and the last home-delivery dairy in the Merrimack Valley. Milk and ice cream come from the farm's own herd — no artificial growth hormones or antibiotics — delivered to your door by your own milkman along with cheese, bakery items, and premium meats, or enjoyed at the farm store and cash-only ice cream stand.

Dracut

Family-owned since 1908 on New Boston Road in Dracut, Shaw Farm still runs milkman routes — the Merrimack Valley's last home-delivery dairy — bringing hormone-free milk and ice cream from its own herd along with cheese, bakery items, and premium meats, no minimums or contracts. The farm store is open daily year-round, and the cash-only ice cream stand scoops from 11 a.m. every day.

Charmingfare Farm in Candia, New Hampshire is a real working farm crossed with a zoo: petting-zoo favorites plus North American wildlife like bears and wolves along woodland trails, horse-drawn wagon, carriage, and sleigh rides, and big seasonal events from Halloween rides to Christmas at the Sugar Shack. The farm-products side sells vegetables, beef, pork, lamb, goat, turkey, chicken, raw milk, farm-fresh eggs, hay, and compost.

As such, we truly feel that we are living out a dream operating the family farm my Dad bought in 1959. My Dad raised horses for many years and then we added pigs, sheep and cattle.
