Spring brings hanging baskets and vegetable starts, summer brings sweet corn, and fall turns the property into a U-pick apple and pumpkin operation with a 10-acre corn maze, wagon rides, and cider doughnuts. Glasscock Farms sold sweet corn from its Laraway Road stand for nearly 90 years before the Glasscock family closed the business in 2015. The farm dated back to 1930 and was a fixture for Joliet-area sweet corn until Scott Glasscock, the last owner, shut down the roadside stands.
