Craig, MT

Applestem cuts a 10-acre corn maze into miles of trails each fall along the Craig Frontage Road, near the trout water of the Missouri River. The Scott Blackman family runs it with duck races, a tube slide, a corn tent, and farm animals for kids. The maze opens mid-September through October on Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. General admission is $11 for ages five and up, and younger kids get in free.

Beaverhead Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Dillon, MT

An eight-acre corn maze cut in the shape of Montana, with passport stations at towns across the map, plus a 700-bale straw pyramid maze that changes theme each year. It runs Thursday through Sunday, noon to 8 p.m., mid-September through Halloween, off Highway 41 north of Dillon. The patch grows up to five pumpkin varieties and adds kids' games, a slide, and a bounce house, with restrooms, a gift shop, and concessions on site.

Gallatin Valley Botanical is Matt and Jacy Rothschiller's certified organic farm in the Rocky Creek bottomlands near Bozeman, growing organic vegetables for Gallatin Valley chefs and families since 2003 — now expanded onto the historic 57-acre Rocky Creek Farm. Whole Farm and Summer CSAs and a seasonal farm stand carry organic veggies, eggs, flowers, lamb, pork, and pastured poultry, while beloved traditions continue: apple cider pressing, a fall pumpkin patch, and u-pick berries.

At Rocky Creek Farm on Bozeman's east side, Gallatin Valley Botanical grows certified organic vegetables, cut flowers, and eggs across 57 diversified acres, raising lamb, pork, and pastured poultry alongside. The farm stand runs three seasons of hours, the Whole Farm CSA delivers weekly, and fall brings cider pressing, the pumpkin patch, u-pick berries, and school field trips.

Johnson's Pumpkin Patch

Helena, MT

Part of Johnson's Nursery and Gardens, a Helena family farm going since 1976, the pumpkin patch opens select fall weekends, Saturdays and Sundays noon to 5. Alongside pick-your-own pumpkins in the field, the farm sells honey from its own hives, produce, herbs, and vegetable starts, and runs a bounce house, school tours, and caramel apples and baked goods from its Cinnamon Ghost Bakery. It's at the corner of Sierra and McHugh.

Sweet Pickin's Pumpkin Patch

Sweet Pickin's Pumpkin Patch runs a large U-pick field along Columbia Falls Stage Road, worked by the DeVries family since around 2001. Kids ride barrel cars and cow trains, bounce on giant pillows, and wander petting pens while parents pick pumpkins. The patch opens daily from September 20 through October 30 and pulls visiting families from as far as Browning, Polson, and Great Falls.
