The Brookings Farmers Market runs Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to noon, May through October, on the 300 block of 6th Ave between the public library and the county courthouse downtown. Area growers and makers sell fruit, vegetables, herbs, meat, eggs, honey, bread, jam, coffee, and soap. The nonprofit market shifts indoors to the Fifth Street Gym for a winter season, held the first and third Saturdays November through April.
